The name given to the building is Cwrt Yr Ysgol, due to it's close proximity to our school. • Christmas Concerts

    Tue 17 Dec 2013 Mr D Hughes

The pupils of Ysgol Gwynedd have been extra busy this half term preparing for and performing their Christmas concerts.

Years 5/6 started the busy fortnight of concerts with a performance of 'A Christmas Wish' that was held at St Mary's Church. Years 1/2 continued the following evening with an excellent re-telling of Pinocchio. Nursery and reception then followed with performances of 'Christmas Eve at the toy shop' with Owen (Yr 6) as narrator. Years 3 and 4 closed the Christmas concerts for 2013 with performances of 'Santa's on Strike'.

Congratulations to all pupils on their resounding performances and a big thank you to all staff for their hard work and dedication throughout.

  • Artist in Residence

    Fri 13 Dec 2013 Mr D Hughes

During the the autumn term a group of 28 pupils in Year 3/4 were visited by Mrs Ann Bridges who was our artist in residence for the week.

Mrs Ann Bridges, a professional printer, and the pupils worked tirelessly to design and create artwork based on the theme of 'Riddles & Rhymes' which culminated in an art exhibition at Clwyd Theatre Cymru.

The work that the pupils created is seen behind the group photograph (below) and will soon return to school to be used as a display. Well done to everyone involved and a massive thank you to Mrs Davenport and Mrs Levitt for helping. Diolch.
