Welsh is taught as a second language. Our aim is not only to develop the ability to communicate at varying levels through the medium of Welsh but also to foster an appreciation of the Welsh language and culture.
The school's Curriculum and Foundation Phase Framework lays the responsibility of providing a programme for the study of Welsh in each school to cover three areas, namely oral, reading and writing.
A copy of the school’s Welsh Policy is available upon request from the Headteacher.
Pupils, teachers and support staff contribute to the school policy of bilingualism by using incidental Welsh throughout the day. Welsh signs are used throughout the school.
